As a young boy, Rafał Sonik sometimes played pool from time to time. Later, he tried his hand at snooker, and after a long break he once again took his place at the table. When he got invited to participate in the Hot Shot Masters tournament, he did not hesitate at all.
The tournament had the “official” and the “unofficial” part. During the first part, in a show matches, we could admire the professionals, like our great talent, Marcin Nitschke, who tied with Ken Doherty. The second part was open to amateur teams, who had different tasks to complete. They were mostly quite playful. We saw the creators of “5 sposobów na”, Rafał Sonik, Lucjan Błaszczyk, or Tomasz Oświeciński.
‘It takes a lot of time to learn how to play snooker. It was all about having fun and I believe that fans liked it. We came there, from many parts of the country, to please them,’ said the winner of the Dakar Rally.
The event was concluded by a concert of Varius Manx.
