Seniors for Sonik

As every year, during the last weekend of June, Rafał Sonik organized in Zakopane a meeting for the group of seniors with whom he created, ten years ago, a group of Friends of Kasprowy Wierch. This time, however, it was not him that surprised his friends but they surprised him with a lot of gifts for his 50^th birthday anniversary, which the quad rider celebrated on 3 June.

– Where is my home? It’s where my friends are! On Sunday, I got the most unusual and unexpected gift. Thank you for it. For your smiles and beautiful words. Whenever I hear them, I always regret that I do not have a hidden microphone to record them, because such words cannot hear probably anyone else in the world. You give me joy, wings, love and faith. You make me believe that even when you get older, you can give others even more light from yourselves. As the poet put it – the winner is that who gives the most light from oneself to others – summed up the meeting Rafał Sonik.

To thank his friends for lots of positive energy, Rafał Sonik climbed on Monday Kasprowy Wierch – “The Holy Mountain”, on which Friends of Kasprowy Wierch meet every year. In the place which unites generations and symbolizes an unbreakable bond linking it with the people of the Tatra mountains.
